John Walters

John grew up in Tennessee and Texas. He came to know Christ as his Savior at the age of seven through the example of two Godly parents and a children’s church teacher named “Mrs. Louise”. A few years later, John made his faith in Christ public through baptism. John graduated from Plano Sr. High in Dallas and went on to get his Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Southwest Texas State University where he met his wife Angie.  He is currently completing his Masters of Ministry from The Moody Bible Institute.

After graduating from college in 1994, John began a career with Deere & Company where he spent 10 years in various roles and responsibilities, and in different areas of the country. In 1997, John sensed God compelling him toward full-time ministry and struggled with the desire to serve God wholeheartedly and balance his “career”. In July 2004, John left his position at Deere and joined the staff of Harvest Bible Chapel as Pastor of Children’s Ministries. In May 2012, John accepted the position of Pastor of Men’s Ministries where he currently serves.
