David Olson

David was raised in a religious home in rural western Iowa. Growing up, his family attended church weekly. David assumed he was saved through church confirmation, but he does not remember hearing the Gospel message of salvation. After high school, he attended college and continued with some church activities.

After graduating, David wandered from God for 20 years. He focused on his career and himself. God was there when it was convenient or if he had a need beyond his control. Then in 1990, David came to an understanding of his need for a personal relationship with Jesus, but he still had not faced the obvious moment of truth in accepting Him as his Savior.

David truly experienced a repentant change and new understanding of his relationship with Jesus in August of 1997. It took losing all of what he had in a personal business failure to bring him to the point of surrender.

David and Paula attended their first Harvest service at Rolling Meadows in December 2000. They went with the Crystal Lake church plant soon after. The Lord continued to grow him in service and in faith during the first two years, and by 2003 he was growing weary of the corporate life and its drain on the ministry work he enjoyed so much.

Over the next few years, David became increasingly aware of his need to be content serving God wherever He had him. Then in July 2005, God opened a door for David to leave the corporate world and serve Him in ministry at Harvest in Davenport.

David and Paula have been and continue to be blessed to serve Him in the Quad Cities.
