Director of Adult MinistriesDouglas was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and he considers it an honor to have been surrounded by a family of believers.  At the age of 12, Douglas surrendered his life to Christ while away at a Bible camp in Northern Michigan.

In 2006, Douglas felt an overwhelming tug at his heart to preach and teach the Gospel, leading God’s people to salvation.  Shortly after he accepted the call into ministry, Douglas attended Newburgh Theological Seminary in Newburgh, Indiana and graduated with his Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Leadership.  Douglas is currently working on his Masters of Theology through the Antioch School of Ministry.

In late 2005, Douglas met his future wife Sheila Dickson, and they were married in the spring of 2007.  Today Douglas and Sheila reside in Bettendorf, IA with their son Aaron and daughter Abigail.  God led Douglas and Sheila to Harvest Bible Chapel in the winter of 2009.  When they arrived at Harvest for the first time and were greeted by the ushers, they both knew that they were at home.

Today, as Director of Adult Ministries, Douglas feels that his position at Harvest is an answer to prayers.  Douglas is excited and feels equipped to handle the challenges that will present themselves, and is eternally grateful for opportunity to work full-time for Christ through Harvest Bible Chapel-Davenport.
