Seth Slay

Worship LeaderSeth grew up in Rockwall, Texas where his dad was a youth pastor for several years. Seth accepted Christ as his savior in junior high and felt called into ministry shortly after. Seth started to lead worship during his sophomore year of high school for a weekly youth ministry consisting of 500 students.

After high school, Seth and his family moved to Little Rock, Arkansas. While serving in the youth ministry there, Seth met his wife, Hannah. After a short time in Little Rock, Seth moved back to Texas to take up leading worship again.

After a year of building a student worship ministry and investing in the students of Rockwell, Seth felt that God was moving him in a new direction. So he prayed for open doors and new opportunities for him to be used effectively to bring God glory. As Seth was seeking the Lord, he asked Hannah to marry him and she said yes! He then got a call from Austin Tullos about a position at Harvest Bible Chapel-Davenport. The Lord had answered Seth’s prayers, and in February 2011, he moved from the warm, dry conditions of Texas, to the freezing cold conditions of Iowa.

Seth has a passion for leading worship and teaching others what worship is all about, especially in student ministry.

Seth and Hannah married in April 2011, and are excited to be a part of the tremendous work God is doing at Harvest.
